Key findings from the Q3 2024 report include:

  • The latest AA/WARC survey data
    shows that UK ad spend increased
    9.7% during Q3 2024, to a total of
    £10.6bn.
  • When viewed at a category level,
    Nielsen data shows that only two major
    sectors increased display spend during
    Q3 2024.
  • Online formats once again recorded
    robust growth in the third quarter – with
    online display up 15.2% (inclusive of
    social media on 17.8%) and search up
    12.6%, while legacy media posted
    mixed results.
  • At the other end of the spectrum, six
    media registered drops in adspend in
    Q3 2024.
  • We estimate the UK ad market grew by
    11.2% overall in 2024 reaching
    £40.7bn, an upgrade of 0.6pp from our
    previous forecast.
